Day 1

12pm

Start your Mystery Guides adventure

Your mystery begins…Billy Fury Statue (near the Beatles Story)

Although you don't need to enter the Beatles Story to solve the clue, it is a fantastic museum and well worth a visit (more details later…)

Clues 1 - 9: Who are the Liver Birds?

In the first half of your adventure, you'll discover Liverpool's Docks, the Titanic Memorial and the Liver Building.

Sat on top of the building you'll see the famous Liver Birds - better known as Bella and Bertie. The birds have a special job, Bella looks out to sea to protect the sailors, while Bertie stares towards land keeping a watchful eye on families left behind.

Take a Break!

One of the oldest pubs in Liverpool, with a famous last name. The pub is named after Thomas Rigby who made a fortune from pubs and hotels in the 19th century.

Clues 10-16: The Fate of the Cavern

In the second part of your adventure, you'll discover Stanley Street, the Hard Day's Night Hotel and The Cavern. While the original Cavern was lost in 1973 to make way for a railway (that never happened!), it was rebuilt in 1984 using 15,000 reclaimed bricks from the original building.
