We've planned the perfect Portsmouth trip... so you don't have to!

People enjoying their Portsmouth Adventure

Day 1

Start your Mystery Guides adventure

Your mystery begins…Statue of Nelson in the Grand Parade

Clues 1 - 8: Where is the golden good luck charm?

In the first half of your adventure, you'll discover Square Tower, The Wellington and Cathedral - take note of the Golden Barque that sits atop the roof. Legend has it, that when taken down for cleaning, local mothers would sit their babies in the ship for good luck and to prevent them from drowning at sea…

Take a Break!

Enjoy some time relaxing in Portsmouth's oldest pub, The Dolphin. Inside, you'll find an old window pane, that legend has it, Lord Nelson scratched his initials into with a diamond ring - see it for yourself!

Clues 9-16: Who is the caring cobbler?

In the second part of your adventure, you'll discover the Round Tower, Portsmouth Grammar School and John Pound's Church - named after a man who dedicated his life to helping children in poverty learn to read from his little cobbler shop.

Day 2

A Treasure Trove…

If you enjoy antiques and history, a must visit is the Sally Port Inn- formerly a hotel with a colourful past, the building is now home to a pub on the ground floor and antiques shop on the floors above. Each room has a theme with hundreds if not thousands of items waiting to be discovered. An enchanting shop - you won't know where to look first!

The (not so) Hidden Gem!

Take the concept of having high tea quite literally and visit the Spinnaker Tower to taste delectable goodies, such as an assortment of sweet treats and sandwiches, while dining up in the clouds. Recently, arriving to the tower is the Sky Bar, offering a nightime view of the city while being served refreshing cocktails!
